Hello

does anyone know whether the new escort carriers built during 1943 ad 1944 would haave been manned in the main by new naval recruits recieved into the navy during 1943 and 1944?

Hi Ron

I would suggest that like many RN vessels, that the crew would be made up off old hands and newbies straight from training. Obviously the above depended on the availability of both and also what specific mission requirements could be
