Hi,
I am trying to find out if HMS Julius was a shore base. My Graddad was stationed there according to his service record between 15th. Nov 1921 until 23rd.Sept. 1922.
There dosen't seem to be any refrence to the ship/establishment anywhere.

JULIUS was the name given to the base established for the Royal Navy at Constantinople (modern Istanbul) in 1919.  It closed down in 1923.

I think you, are brilliant. You don't know how much these little pieces of Granddad's service 'jigsaw' realy mean. If I knew who you were, I'd buy you a drink.
Many thanks
