I am not quite sure what is meant. The GOATFELL, along with other ships of the 11th Minesweeping Flotilla, were based in the Clyde at the time of the evacuation of Dunkirk, so didn't "relieve" anybody for the operation. However, in June 1940, after the evacuation was complete, the 11th MSF (including Goatfell), were shifted to Dover to replace the paddle 'sweepers that had been lost. |
