Hi
An ancestor of mine served in the cruiser HMS Royal Arthur during WW1.
Could somebody please tell me her service history for the period 1915 to 1918?
All info gratefully received.

ROYAL ARTHUR between 1915 and 1918 served as a stationary guardship, anchored in Longhope, Scapa Flow. From March 1918 she acted as the depot & parent ship for the 12th submarine squadron based at Scapa, until the end of the war.

Thanks very much, PhiloNauticus. It seems that my ancestor spent most of his service time aboard guardships of one kind or another.

Regards
Red Hunter
