According to my Uncs' papers he was at Raleigh for 12 weeks.

He joined as a Seaman.

Did they do Parts 1 & 2 training at Raleigh in 1947 ?

He was then drafted to HMS Anson which was Training Ship at Portland in 1947 and did a further 25 weeks there.Would that have been gunnery training perhaps or could he have been Ships Company after his 12 weeks at Raleigh?
