Uncs' papers show that after basics at Raleigh his Accounting base was Anson, no ship shown.

At about that time 1947, battleship Anson was Flagship of Training Squadron at Portland. Could this have been his location at the time?

My other thought was part 2 training Anson Div' at Raleigh, but I thought that Anson Div' was for new entries!!

Anyone got the answer.

Cheers.

Chris.

ANSON was employed as a Harbour Training Ship at Portland between May 1946 and November 1949.
