Hi, I am desperately trying to find my estranged grandad Desmond Salter. He left his son - my dad -as a baby in 1946 and nobody ever saw him again. What I REALLY need to find is a photo of him - we dont even know what he looked like. My dad is now in his 60s and I would really love to find him a photo of his dad. Is there anywhere online which displays crew photos - there MUST be a photo of him somewhere whilst he served in the Navy...if not online, there surely is a central archive which I could search his name with?

I have his service records here with all the ships he worked on and everything about him - apart from a blessed photo!

Please can somebody help?
